ABOUT THE PROJECT

The topic of the project is human rights, gender equality, intercultural dialogue, tolerance and acceptance of differences.

The objectives of the project are:

– promoting active citizenship and participation, analyzing how EU policy can foster shared planning youth-oriented;

– fostering interculturality as an instrument of cooperation, inclusion and tearing down marginalization;

– spreading EU democratic values to strengthen gender equality, respect for human rights social justice and individual freedom.

The methodologies used will be non-formal-education activities as working in small groups, network methodologies, ecological-systemically approach, oppressed theatrical techniques, community development techniques.

The project foresees the following outcomes and impacts:

– promoting the encounter between youth from different cultures, to tear down stereotypes, intolerance, fostering the value of democracy, respect, and tolerance;

– involving youth with fewer opportunities in a European mobility experience focused on inclusion and empowerment of competences;

– building an International network to plan and design new future projects under Erasmus + Program.

Through the exchange, we will bring people from different cultural and social groups together for joint different activities and will encourage them to be more active in different social areas. We hope that our exchange will give a good example of promoting informal education and intercultural dialogue, which will lead to future cooperation and friendship among young people who live in rural areas. For 5 days we are also going to exchange best practices and projects we have implemented on the topic. We will also present the “Erasmus+” Programme, European Solidarity Corps and work together for the establishment of strategic partnerships in the field of youth. There will also be an intercultural night when each of the participating groups will represent its culture, cuisine, and traditions. In the course of the daily discussions, energizers and role-plays the participants will develop intercultural consciousness, tolerance and will improve their socio-cultural skills.

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE

We are looking for 4 participants and 1 team leader who are:

• 16 – 25 years old (there is no age limit for the team leader but you have to be 18 plus to apply as a team leader with Erasmus plus experience),
• resident in Croatia,
• have a desire to communicate in English and other languages,
• strongly motivated to engage in the project.

Priority will be given to candidates who have not participated in youth exchanges so far and youngsters with fewer opportunities.

COSTS

This project is financed by Erasmus +, so all costs like travel, accommodation, and food during the exchange duration are covered.

There is a reservation fee of 110 kuna (15 EUR) which you need to pay before the project for administration costs if you are going to be selected. You can ask your university, company or NGO you are involved in to help you cover the fee.

Are we getting any certificate?

You will have the opportunity to earn Youthpass – recognition tool for non-formal & informal learning on youth projects. It’s more than just a certificate. Trust us. 🙂
